Grand Jury Charges 13 Russian Nationals with Election ‘Discord’ in Mueller Investigation

robertmuellerapWASHINGTON – The Justice Department indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for meddling in the 2016 US presidential election.

“Russian conspirators wanted to undermine public confidence in our democracy,” said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The indictment reveals that conspirators posed as politically and socially active Americans for and against candidates in hopes of sowing “discord” in the US political system…. more

FBI releases warrant it requested 10 days before presidential election

December 21, 2016, 9:07 AM (IDT)

The FBI on Tuesday released the warrant it requested 10 days before the presidential election that allowed it to check whether there was classified information in e-mails between presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin on the computer of Anthony Weiner, Abedin’s estranged husband. The 21-page document, from which only the names of FBI agents were blacked out, showed that a representative of the FBI asked the court to allow the search out of concern that Weiner’s laptop computer might have contained thousands of classified e-mails that could have damaged national security. The computer, including a terabyte hard drive, was never approved for carrying, sending or receiving classified information. Investigators also searched for system files, logs, system codes, documents and database files on the computer. The unsealing of the warrant followed an appeal by an attorney from California and an order by a US district court…[full source]

A "Soft Coup" Attempt: Furious Trump Slams "Secret" CIA Report Russia Helped Him Win

Overnight the media propaganda wars escalated after the late Friday release of an article by the Washington Post (which last week admitted to using unverified, or fake, news in an attempt to smear other so-called “fake news” sites) according to which a secret CIA assessment found that Russia sought to tip last month’s U.S. presidential election in Donald Trump’s favor, a conclusion presented without any actual evidence, and which drew an extraordinary, and angry rebuke from the president-elect’s camp.

“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” Trump’s transition team said, launching a broadside against the spy agency. “The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again.’ ”

The Washington Post report comes after outgoing President Barack Obama ordered a review of all cyberattacks that took place during the 2016 election cycle, amid growing calls from Congress for more information on the extent of Russian interference in the campaign. The newspaper cited officials briefed on the matter as saying that individuals with connections to Moscow provided WikiLeaks with email hacked from the Democratic National Committee, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign chief and others…[read more]

Populist-Nationalist Tide Rolls On: “America Is At A Plastic Time In History”

Now that the British have voted to secede from the European Union and America has chosen a president who has never before held public office, the French appear to be following suit.

In Sunday’s runoff to choose a candidate to face Marine Le Pen of the National Front in next spring’s presidential election, the center-right Republicans chose Francois Fillon in a landslide.

While Fillon sees Margaret Thatcher as a role model in fiscal policy, he is a socially conservative Catholic who supports family values, wants to confront Islamist extremism, control immigration, restore France’s historic identity and end sanctions on Russia.

“Russia poses no threat to the West,” says Fillon. But if not, the question arises, why NATO? Why are U.S. troops in Europe?

As Le Pen is favored to win the first round of the presidential election and Fillon the second in May, closer Paris-Putin ties seem certain. Europeans themselves are pulling Russia back into Europe, and separating from the Americans.

Next Sunday, Italy holds a referendum on constitutional reforms backed by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. If the referendum, trailing in the polls, fails, says Renzi, he will resign…. [read more]

lhwm notes: “America emerged from the Cold War, a quarter century ago, as the sole superpower. Yet, it seems clear that we are not today so dominant a nation as we were in 1989 and 1991.

We have great rivals and adversaries. We are deeper in debt. We are more divided. We’ve fought wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen that availed us nothing. What we had, we kicked away.

America is at a plastic moment in history.

And America needs nothing so much as reflective thought about a quarter century of failures — and fresh thinking about her future.”

This Is the Real Goal of the Anti-Trump Protesters

The Founding Fathers, particularly those from small states, were very concerned that they would be smothered by the larger states. Under the representative republic (not a democracy) established by the founders, the United States is made up of 50 sovereign states. Under the Constitution, except for limited powers specifically defined for the central government, power for the rule of law is intended to reside in the States.

To deal with the problem, the founders decided on a compromise that would establish two chambers for the Congress; the House of Representatives, whose size would be dictated by the population in each state and the Senate in which every state would get two representatives, regardless of its size or population.

The same problem arose in deciding how to select a president, the one nationally elected official. Here again there was the fear that election by popular vote would overwhelm the will of smaller states….. [read more]

Microaggressions and Trump

By Hal Lindsey

America has a long tradition regarding new presidents. Their arrival in office is accompanied by a spirit of goodwill in Washington and the country. We call it the “honeymoon.” It once last for several months after the inauguration. But in recent years the honeymoon has been getting shorter and shorter. President-elect Donald Trump didn’t even get through the night of his election before protestors took to the streets.

Only in the days leading up to the Civil War was America this divided. But even then, the discourse was rarely as angry and inflamed as today. Compare the Lincoln-Douglas debates with this year’s debates and you’ll see what I mean. Lincoln and Douglas disagreed. They jabbed at one other. But they also spoke respectfully.

You might answer, “Yes, but these are different times.” And that’s my point….. [read more]

Veterans Day 2016: How Grateful are We?

Veterans Day 2016: How Grateful are We?With the craziest presidential election of all time ending earlier this week, it’s easy to forgive someone for forgetting that today is Veterans Day.

Sad to say, at least until President-Elect Trump’s brief but important mention of vets during his victory speech, our nation’s veterans have been mostly forgotten during the election campaign. As National Public Radio reported, of the 28,500 words spoken by the presidential candidates during the debates, veterans were mentioned only twice.

This is amazing. The nation and our leaders owe veterans much more.

Let’s look at the figures. The Census Bureau reports that there are 18.6 million American veterans of military service. Since the first Gulf War, 5.6 million Americans have served.

And while most of them are doing just fine, thank you, many are in dire straits. One in five veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, or PTSD….. [read more]

True Colors Shining Through

During this presidential election the true colors of mainstream media was shown. From newspapers, internet, and TV there was no hiding their biased. Now we know mainstream media on all levels lies. We also know they do not respect our constitution and believe leaders are above the law. Now that Donald Trump won overwhelmingly, they are focused on the “protests” continuing their biased campaign.

God Has Chosen Men Before To Help Those Who Are His.

Exodus 1:8 Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. 9 He said to his people, “Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are more and mightier than we. 10 Come, let us deal wisely with them, or else they will multiply and in the event of war, they will also join themselves to those who hate us, and fight against us and depart from the land…..
