A young Christian schoolgirl in the Philippines recalled how teachers forced her to pray a Muslim prayer in order to pass a class, and ignored her explanations that she now prays to Jesus instead.
Persecution watchdog group Open Doors USA said on Wednesday that the Christian girl, Jen-Jen, had been attending a Vocational Bible School in the southernmost region of the Philippines, where she learned Bible stories and listened to the pastor’s teachings on salvation and Christ.
At her regular school, however, she described how authority figures looked down on her faith and forced her to go against it.
“Although she performed well in nearly every subject, for instance, Jen-Jen encountered pressure in Arabic class where the teacher required students to memorize a Muslim prayer in order to pass,” Open Doors reported…. read more
WASHINGTON — Former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders became agitated and hostile on Wednesday during the questioning of Deputy Budget Director nominee Russell Vought, as he noted a social media post written by Vought that remarked that Muslims “do not know God because they have rejected Jesus Christ his Son, and they stand condemned.”
Sanders began by reading a joint letter from the Arab American Institute, Bend the Arc Jewish Action, and Muslim Advocates, which expressed objection to Vought’s nomination because he had “denigrated Muslims” and therefore has shown “hostility to religious pluralism.”
He then pointed to a portion of an article written by Vought last January in response to the Wheaton College controversy surrounding then-professor Larycia Hawkins’ assertion that Christians and Muslims “worship the same God.” Hawkins’ remarks had resulted in an investigation by the college and generated much discussion nationwide as to whether or not the Christian school was right to take action when such messages are put forth by its staff….. read more
opinion: As Christians we need to be submitted to the Holy Spirit in order to be guided in what to say. We should be in constant prayer when someone who does not believe comes after those who do.
Proverbs 15 AMPC A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
Exodus 20:3 AMPC You shall have no other gods before or besides Me.
Luke 12:11 AMPC And when they bring you before the synagogues and the magistrates and the authorities, do not be anxious [beforehand] how you shall reply in defense or what you are to say. 12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour and [b]moment what [you] ought to say.
As the Filipino government continues to fight ISIS-backed militants for control of Marawi city, local Muslims are coming to the aid of their Christian neighbors despite the dangers associated with doing so. Since the terrorists took control of the major metropolis late last month, residents have found their city nearly uninhabitable, with corpses strewn throughout the streets and armed extremists threatening the lives of those who remain.
Churches and Hospitals Under Siege, Martial Law Declared as ISIS Overtakes Major Philippine City
Although the Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country, Marawi has a large Muslim population. In the midst of the ISIS-led stronghold, it is the Christians who find themselves in particular danger. Jihadists seized at least one Catholic church in the city, taking a priest and parishioners hostage.
But as the Christian Post reports, those that remain are finding refuge. There are a growing number of examples of Muslims helping their Christian neighbors. Lenny Paccon opened her home to more than 50 people and subsequently helped them escape the area…. read more
It is common knowledge that 15 of the 19 terrorists that flew planes into the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001 were from Saudi Arabia. The U.S. has even built a 9/11 Memorial & Museum to honor the 2,983 people that were killed.
It is common knowledge that the founder of al-Qaeda was Osama ben Laden, and he was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Former Pres. Barack Obama even boasted about killing him in May 2011.
It is common knowledge that there are more than 3,000 mosques in the U.S. and many of them were financed and built by Saudi Arabia. According to some experts, almost 100 of these mosques are radical Islamist mosques and yet as far as this writer knows, not even one has ever been shut down.
As a candidate for president, Donald Trump was strongly criticized for saying the U.S. might have to consider shutting down mosques for the hatred coming out of some of them. He was accused of infringing upon the religious freedom of Muslims….. read more
Some of the most important names associated with the push for limited government at America’s founding have been shoved out of history, contends Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who added that the effort has coincided with an expanding federal government.
Lee, who recently was elected to a second term in the U.S. Senate, is author of “Written Out of History: The Forgotten Founders Who Fought Big Government,” which he said is designed to give adults and children a better idea of the vision of the nation’s Founding Fathers. Lee told WND and Radio America limited government isn’t some anachronistic vestige of the colonial era but the fundamental premise of the U.S. system of government….. read more
Why is our history going away? Why are they not teaching America’s history? Below are a few articles explaining why.
Common Core ties to Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia
• Being taught Islamic vocabulary lessons (North Carolina)
• Being taught Islamic culture (Tennessee)
• Being taught world history from Islamic perspective (Florida) that includes learning about the five pillars of Islam (Maryland father, a Marine Corps veteran, complains and is banned from school grounds)
• Told to proselytize by creating a pamphlet about Islam to “introduce Islam to 3rd graders” that introduces Allah to children as the same God of the Christians and Jews (Michigan)
• Reciting in class the Shahada, “There is No God but Allah,” and the Muslim call to prayer (Massachusetts)
Parents in every state are outraged, protesting and asking, “Why is Islam being taught in public schools?” and “How did this happen?” “Where is the ACLU?” “Where are the people ‘protesting against’ religion being taught in public schools?”… read more
Saudi textbooks propagate intolerance
Here we go again. According to a new government report, Saudi Arabia published yet another year’s worth of public school textbooks that promote hateful ideas. This represents only the latest failure by Saudi Arabia after it repeatedly pledged that such radicalism would be expunged.
Saudi textbooks have long been identified as a potential source of incitement to terrorism around the world by current or former U.S. officials. Stuart Levey, who served as the top U.S. official for combating the financing of terrorism under both Presidents Bush and Obama, wrote that fighting intolerance in textbooks is “even more important” than stopping the funding of terrorism. Because “unless the next generation of children is taught to reject violent extremism, we will forever be faced with the challenge of disrupting the next group of terrorist facilitators.”… read more
SAUDI & ARAB INFLUENCE ON AMERICAN EDUCATION
In recent years, religious extremists based in Saudi Arabia have exerted immense influence on what America’s K-12 school children learn about Islam and the Middle East. Specifically, these extremists have poured large sums of money into the coffers of organizations that produce K-12 curricula whose ideological leanings are sympathetic to Islamic fundamentalism and, conversely, critical of the United states and Israel…. read more
