Trump’s strike signals to Russia, Iran, Hezbollah, Assad: The party’s over

President Donald Trump speaks with reporters on Air Force One while in flight from Andrews Air Force Base, Md., to Palm Beach International Airport, Fla., Thursday, April 6, 2017. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon)After years of inaction under Obama, the new president delivered the overdue message: There will be a price to be paid for massacres, for terror attacks, for the use of chemical weapons.

It would be wrong to get too carried away by the overnight US missile strike on the Syrian airbase, north of Damascus, from which it is believed the Assad regime launched Tuesday’s despicable chemical weapons attack. This was, after all, just a single retaliatory strike on an air base, and not a 180-degree change in US military policy. We don’t know what the Trump administration’s ongoing policy will be, should President Bashar Assad carry out further chemical weapons attacks, and we certainly have no sense that President Donald Trump will now be seeking to oust the Assad regime.

Nonetheless, the overnight US raid was dramatic and remarkable, especially when compared to the policy of Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, which might best be summed up in the single word “inaction.”… read more

Iran Closing In On Israel – Deal With Syria Could See New Military Base

News Image

Iran is on the verge of reaching a deal with the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad to build a military base at the port of Latakia on the Mediterranean coast, an Israeli diplomatic official told the Hebrew news site Walla on Friday.
According to the report, this would be Assad’s way of paying Iran back for the extensive military and financial support it has provided to the Assad regime since the outbreak of the ongoing war in Syria six years ago.
The Jewish state, the report said, views the establishment of an Iranian military presence on the Mediterranean Sea as an “extreme step” that would “foster instability in the region and promote terrorism against Israel.” … [read more]

Obama Urges Soldiers to Question Trump’s Authority, ‘Criticize Our President’

impeachIn his final address to America’s armed forces, President Barack Obama reminded troops that once Donald J. Trump becomes president, soldiers have a duty to question his authority and criticize him. Obama also said the Second Amendment and global warming can be blamed for terrorism.
Obama stood before soldiers at MacDill Air Force Base, in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday, December 6, to talk about “the foundation that we will leave for the next administration,” reported.

Characterizing the military’s mission as a fight against “violent extremism,” Obama insisted that soldiers need to rise up against Trump if they feel he is pushing policies that are ill considered…. [read more]

Opinion by Prophecy Tracker: In case anyone thought Barack Hussein Obama would go away quietly, like W., think again.

“Each of us has…the universal right to speak your minds and to protest against authority; to live in a society that’s open and free; that can criticize our president without retribution.”

NBC News April 25, 2012: “US Marine who criticized President Obama to be Discharged”

“Gary Stein, a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton near San Diego, learned Wednesday that he will be discharged from the military for his online comments criticizing the Obama administration.”

The discharge was effective May 4, 2012 – Stein lost all military benefits.

Over the past 8 years President Obama fired over 100 Generals and as many as 40o lower ranked personnel who had the audacity to disagree with him (here).

Oh, and just in case anyone thought BHO would take responsibility for ISIS due to his total withdrawal from a hard-fought victory in Iraq, think again, again:

“Some of the mistakes of the 2003 invasion have helped to give rise to the organization that became ISIL in the first place.”.

See, it was George Bush’s fault, again.

lhwm notes: Obama got rid of people in the military who disagreed with his values and plans, but now he is inciting that same questioning against Trump. Where is the respect for our new president? If the shoe was on the other foot what would Obama do? Please read our article on what Obama did to the military:

Standing Rock victory in North Dakota as US Army Corps of Engineers revokes pipeline permits

Image: Standing Rock victory in North Dakota as US Army Corps of Engineers revokes pipeline permits(NaturalNews) After months of increasingly passionate protests against the planned oil pipeline that could have threatened the aquifers of the Sioux tribe, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has reversed its permit approval. This means Texas-based Energy Transfer Partners LP, owner of the Dakota Access Pipeline, will need to explore a different route for the pipeline.

The decision is a notable victory for Sioux tribes and the thousands of protesters who stood up to what many observers described as a “military police state” of government action against them.

“The Army will not grant an easement to cross Lake Oahe at the proposed location based on the current record,” stated the US Army, reported by Reuters… [read more]

16 US soldiers killed, 27 wounded since start of Mosul op – military source

The ongoing operation in Mosul, Iraq, is taking its toll on US troops, with 16 killed and 27 wounded, according to a military source in Moscow cited by TASS. The US Department of Defense has told RT America it is only aware of one casualty.

“During the first two weeks of the ground operation to capture Mosul, 16 American servicemen lost their lives, 27 more sustained various wounds,” the source told TASS. The majority of the losses were due to “land mine explosions, artillery and mortar shelling.”

In certain cases, however, poor coordination between ground troops and air support was reportedly to blame for those killed or injured. “Two special operations soldiers died following airstrikes by US B-52H jets on Mosul suburbs,” the source said…. [read more]

“As I was an adviser in Vietnam it’s very high risk sometimes to be out with these units and of course if these units come under attack by ISIS forces and others there is going to be casualties, there is no doubt about it,” Vallely said.
