An Iranian actress who left Islam for Christianity has twice been denied asylum in Sweden and could be sent back to Iran where the penalty for conversion includes death.
Aideen Strandsson told CBN News she secretly converted to Christianity while still living in Iran.
“I read the Bible and I understood what Jesus said about peace, about love, about kindness, and in my heart I became a Christian when I was in Iran,” she said in an interview with CBN’s Dale Hurd.
Three years ago, she moved to Sweden and publicly proclaimed her new faith, but her application for asylum has been denied by government officials and an immigration court.
“They felt that, they don’t believe I am in danger and I think that’s the reason,” she said….. read more

Since 9/11, I have been warning America about the dangers of the teachings of Islam. Followers of Islam are taught very troubling passages that encourage them to murder and maim those they refer to infidels, or nonbelievers. With the internet and social media, radicalization is only increasing—and the dangers are continuing to increase. Many times, sadly, it is the young who are pulled into these teachings that encourage murder and rape in the name of the god of Islam.
We saw the results again Saturday night in London with 7 killed and more than 48 wounded by Muslim men who said this was for Allah. That is three Islamic terror attacks in the country in less than three months. The threat of Islam is real. The threat of Islam is serious. The threat of Islam is dangerous. There is cause for concern, despite what some may say.
We need to pray that God would give our President, our Congress, and our Senate wisdom—and the guts to do what is right for our nation, and not what’s politically correct. My prayer is that the United States—and the UK—will wake up before it’s too late. [full source]
Jan Markell and Eric Barger interview author, journalist, and political commentator Melanie Phillips. Melanie is from the United Kingdom and has been traveling speaking on the issues of Islam and Europe. The conversation today is about how Europe has been slow to acknowledge the issues they are facing with such a large Islamic population.
The Rev. Franklin Graham warned jihadists that the flames of hell, rather than 70 virgins, await them in the afterlife, and also described Islam as a “threat to our very life,” following Monday’s bombing in Manchester, England, which killed 22 people.
“Islam targets the weak. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the horrific carnage of Monday night’s bombing in Manchester, England, targeting children, teens, and their parents who were attending a concert. They’re proud of this despicable and cowardly act,” Graham wrote in a Facebook message on Monday.
BBC News noted that the U.K. has raised its terror threat level to “critical” following the suicide attack at the end of U.S. singer Ariana Grande’s concert, which Islamic radicals have taken responsibility for…. read more
…Unfortunately, the West is losing this war with Muslim supremacists: they have already infiltrated Europe’s mosques and the outskirts of its cities; the foreign funded “Institutional Islam” has already been able to convince Europeans that terror “has nothing to do with Islam”; the mainstream media is refusing even to utter the name of the enemy, even as it is preparing new eulogies about the next victims of Jihad; Pope Francis has capitulated, while his predecessor Benedict XVI had the courage to name Islam; European Jewry is fleeing the old continent; Europe’s armies are getting smaller by the day; our élites have come to see it as a natural event that churches are bombed in Mosul as in Tanta.
If the West wants to start winning this long war, it must begin by recognizing that Israel is a bastion against an Islamic onslaught on the rest of the Judeo-Christian world…. read more
The Iranian-controlled Iraqi militia Harakat al Nujaba this week announced the formation of its “Golan Liberation Brigade.” While it is not uncommon for entities to name themselves after areas they aim to “liberate,” the militia’s spokesman has said that the unit could assist the Syrian regime in taking the Golan Heights, a region in the Levant that has been controlled by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War.
If true, the unit would likely participate in a future offensive to capture territory from Syrian opposition in the part of the Golan Heights still controlled by Syria, before moving on to the much taller order of dislodging the Israelis across the border. This week’s announcement reflects Tehran’s priorities in southern Syria since finally taking the fiercely contested city of Aleppo late last year: crush Syrian opposition, and pose military threat to Israel from the Golan Heights. While the Islamic Republic is incapable of credibly challenging the Jewish state’s fortress in the Golan, reaffirming ideological commitment to fighting Israel signals defiance to a global audience amid a reportedly converging American-Arab-Israeli military alliance against Tehran… [read more]
Opinion by BIBLE PROPHECY TRACKER: The goal of the group is to obey Islamic law and reclaim territory taken by rebels opposed to Syrian President Bashar Assad, and to prepare to attack Israel.
Eretz Yisorel (here): “Islam divides the whole world into two spheres: ‘Dar al-Harb’ and ‘Dar al-Islam.’ Dar al-Islam being the house or region of peace that means all lands and peoples already conquered by Islamic forces; and Dar el Harb being those lands and people in the world that still need to be conquered by Islam which is therefore the whole remaining world. Once the forces of Islam conquer a land or territory, it is to remain under Islamic dominion forever.”
The commander of the Iranian forces: “Should the Syrian government make the request, we are ready to participate in the liberation of occupied Golan with our allies, we will not permit the soil of Arab countries to remain in the grasps of occupiers.”
There you go, a war that will take the world to the end of the age that can only be solved by divine intervention.
“As He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Matthew 24:3-4
After 2000 years the signs are coming into view.
