Arab Emirates Bring Pagan War Goddess to UN

The same multinational group that recreated the Palmyra Victory Arch and sent it on a world tour has now recreated a statue of Athena, the Roman goddess of war, for an exhibit in the United Nations, an organization that claims to be working towards world peace but which one rabbi likens to modern-day paganism.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) officially inaugurated the Digital Archaeology Exhibition, “The Spirit in the Stone”, at the United Nations’ headquarters in New York City last Thursday. The UAE, the Italian mission to the UN, and the Institute of Digital Archaeology (IDA) cooperated in re-creating a statue of the Roman goddess Athena for the exhibit.

The original Athena statue stood in Palmyra, Syria, until it was destroyed by ISIS in 2015. The UAE announcement described the goddess as “synonymous with reason, refuge and the rule of law, all of the same values on which that historic institution was built,” but the statue depicts Athena in her classic pose grasping a spear, belying her prominent role as the Roman goddess of war…. read more

Drums of Big War Heard in Middle East

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Commentary

I am watching the Middle East very closely. It appears that Saudi Arabia has no choice but war with Iran. With the fall of ISIS, the way is now clear for Iran to move its army into Syria which will threaten Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Iran is very aggressive throughout the region and the Saudis are backed into a corner.

If Iran moves it army into Syria or attacks Saudi Arabia, Israel will be forced to attack Iran which also means Hezbollah and Hamas. Israel can’t let Iran defeat Saudi Arabia. This war will drag Egypt into it.

No matter what keep you eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus coming for his bride!… read more

American Runs Through ISIS Gunfire To Save Little Girl In Mosul

Aid worker and former U.S. special forces soldier David Eubank, 56, was captured on video heroically saving a young girl in Mosul, Iraq, by running through ISIS gunfire.

Eubank made the brave decision to run though the gunfire after he spotted what appeared to be two live children among a heap of civilians murdered by ISIS snipers.

“There was a woman sprawled on her face. Dead,” said Eubank. “A baby, all shot up. Dead. Near them, two old people. Dead. And then you realize all those lumps of rags were kids. Dead dead dead.”

“Then, in the distance, Eubank noticed movement among a group of corpses clustered before a wall pocked by bullets: A half-naked toddler stumbled over the bodies; a girl of about 5 peeked from under the hijab of her dead mother; propped up against the wall, a wounded man waved for help,” explains the LA Times… read more

ISIS guard watched women given away as sex slaves until he couldn’t take it anymore

After ISIS captured his city in Syria, one man thought life would be good, living in their self-proclaimed caliphate. But when he witnessed the mistreatment of female captives as sex slaves, he became disillusioned and fled.

“When they (ISIS) first came, things were very good,” Nizar* told the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism.  “It really felt like Islam. We started going to the mosque. A sheikh would give lessons in the Qur’an.”

The sheikh taught him ISIS was in the right and there would be no injustice. Nizar and his wife thought they could go on with normal life…. [read more]

Are we winning the war on ISIS & Radical Islam? The President says yes. The experts say no. Here’s a 9-page fact sheet laying out the data.

ISIS-flag(Washington, D.C.) — Fifteen years after the United States was attacked by Osama bin Laden and the jihadists of al Qaeda, a mere 27% of isis-aretheywinningAmericans believe we are safer from the threat of terrorism today than we were on 9/11.

Remarkably, fully seven-in-ten Americans believe we are not safer, or aren’t sure, according to a new Rasmussen poll released this week.

These are stunning numbers, especially when you consider the fact that President Obama and senior administration officials keep telling us that the most dangerous terror force on the planet — the Islamic State — has been “contained” and that ISIS is “losing” and that “we are winning” the war on ISIS.

Clearly, Americans don’t feel like we’re winning. And sadly, they’re right…. [read more]
