For eons, people assumed that ancient biblical Jerusalem was part of the Old City, an area inside modern-day Jerusalem — but a British archeologist shattered that definitive claim 150 years ago when he made a discovery that had reportedly been hidden for nearly 2,000 years.
Anarina Heymann, outreach coordinator for the City of David, told CBN News about how archeologist Charles Warren “rediscovered the ancient biblical Jerusalem” and how that finding has transformed the understanding of the city that King David designated as his capital 3,000 years ago.
Heymann explained that the archeological findings at the site have helped “bring the Bible to life” and how she believes, in turn, prophecy is being fulfilled. In the end, she said the excavations as well as the Bible’s contents are coming together to give a full picture of Jerusalem’s past…. more
It is the most controversial piece of real estate in the world — Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. It is the holiest site in Judaism and the third holiest in Islam.
Muslim tradition says that the prophet Mohammed traveled to the Al-Aqsa Mosque on his famous night journey and that tradition is the basis for the Palestinians’ claim to Jerusalem.
Arabs claim Jerusalem as the Islamic city of Al-Quds, but there’s no record to prove that the prophet Mohammed had ever been there. His armies didn’t arrive in the city until five years after his death.
The city of Jerusalem isn’t even mentioned in the Koran. However, the Bible mentions the city of David more than 600 times… read more
As a Christian writer, there is one thing that truly makes me sad.
Whenever I write anything about Israel, the readership plummets.
I have written in other articles that when I am introduced to new people in church, and they hear that I am a Jewish believer in Christ, there is one of two reactions.
The deer in the headlights reaction: Thinking that it’s an oxymoron of sorts. I mean how can a Jewish person be a Christian?
The loving and excited reaction: Rejoicing that a Jew has come to know her true Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus)!
Believe me when I say that I do not delude myself. There are always going to be people, however few or many, in congregations who do not love (let alone like) the Jews. My husband and I have witnessed this first hand.
But we cannot abide leadership in a church who do not understand how the Jewish people fit into God’s plan. We have witnessed this as well, and we left. People are not aware of the errant teaching of Replacement Theology and how it has run amok, even in the Southern Baptist churches. Yes, you read that right…. read more
My father taught us that voting was not just a right, it was a responsibility for every citizen. My grandparents from both sides emigrated to America from Ukraine in the early 20th Century. I think my father viewed America as a huge blessing, in light of the never-ending persecution and slaughter of the Jewish people.
My father would say to us “America may not be perfect but there is no better country.” After WWII my dad realized that this country was truly the only one which supported the State of Israel. He also knew that the chances of a mass slaughter of Jews would likely never happen in the U.S.
In these last days, I’m not so sure of that.
On August 28, 1941, more than 23,000 Hungarian Jews are murdered by the Gestapo in occupied Ukraine…. read more
Recently I got to spend more time over one week in Jerusalem’s City of David than I’ve spent there in the past 30 years. Living a mere 15 minutes from Jerusalem, I try to be mindful of how incredible it is to have the privilege to be in the holy city often, even for things as mundane as business meetings, to see a movie or go shopping. However, there are special places within Jerusalem that are at the very foundation of the city, literally, and being able to spend time there is indescribably awesome.
My visit was in two parts, under the auspices of The Jerusalem Watch, which hosts extensive and compelling daytime tours (The Jerusalem Watch Tour), offering those who are passionate about Jerusalem a “tangible opportunity to connect by taking an active role in uncovering the glory and history of ancient Jerusalem; literally becoming part of the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.”… read more
THE ONLY WAY THAT THOSE CENTER CORE COLUMNS – 47 IN ALL – COULD HAVE COLLAPSED IS IF THE COLUMNS HAS PREVIOUSLY ALREADY BEEN CUT PRIOR TO IMPACT.
For the past 15 years, I have watched well over 100 hours of video related to 9/11. Probably closer to 200 hours. And after a decade and a half of watching every video I could get my hands on, produced to support every agenda pro and con you could possibly imagine, I have come to an inescapable conclusion.
All three of the buildings in New York City – Tower #1, Tower #2 and Building #7 – were brought down by controlled demolition.
The architects of the World Trade Center , anticipating a plane or multiple planes hitting the buildings, designed them to be able to handle the planes hitting like a “pencil hitting mosquito netting”.
WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWERS WERE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND MULTIPLE COMMERCIAL JETLINER IMPACTS… read more
opinion: We already know our government and the leaders of the U.S. have people that are for their own agenda and are paid and follow a cult. This article is pretty amazing and someone did their homework all we can say is WOW! What are your thoughts on this?
