The very fact that we’re having arguments on social media about the importance or relevance of offering prayers in the wake of tragedy proves just how far we’ve fallen.
It’s incredibly stunning to consider that the automatic — and often sole solution — many turn to in the wake of tragedy is “gun control,” especially when the real issue at hand is so glaring that it’s practically blinding us all: we’re disconnected.
What do I mean by that? Well, the morals and values that once served as the central underpinnings of our society have gradually been pushed out of our spheres of influence, leaving a massive vacuum in their place.
We’re so distracted by what’s happening around us in our day-to-day that we’ve come to diminish, culturally speaking, the importance of our connection to God, his standards and the need for us to align our personal values with biblical truth…. read more
The Australian Medical Association (AMA), has recently come out as experts on gun control and on how to reduce gun- related violence. This was apparent when the AMA called for ownership restrictions to be tightened, and for the establishment of a real-time national firearms register.
However, despite its noble intentions, this organisation’s knowledge of policies counteracting gun violence is painstakingly limited.
Consider AMA President Michael Gannon’s recent comments.
Gannon first stated that there are many as 6 million illegal firearms in Australia. He then went on to say; “Restricting access to firearms reduces the risk of impulsive purchase and use of guns, and their use in intentional acts of violence, including suicide.”… [read more]
LANSING, Mich. — New legislation introduced by Michigan Democrats seeks to make it a felony to own weapons defined as assault weapons.
State Rep. Robert Wittenberg, D-Oak Park, presented the bill Wednesday with support from Rep. Jim Townsend, D – Royal Oak. Neither was available to make a comment.
If passed, House Bill 5996, or the “Assault Weapon Regulation Act,” would turn the manufacturing, purchasing, possessing, selling and transferring of “assault weapons” into a four-year felony. It’s one of nine bills introduced Wednesday aimed at reducing gun violence.
But gun advocates tell FOX 17 they believe it’s a political stunt.
“We’re 22 months into a 24-month legislative session,” said Tom Lambert, a gun advocate for Michigan Open Carry. “I think it’s, what, three weeks till the election? I think everyone can piece together why they are suddenly coming out right now.”…. [read more]
I have often wondered if/when the softening on the War on Drugs would be used as a weapon of disarmament. This is an interesting ploy by the feds to use the move towards decriminalizing marijuana as a means of barring Second Amendment lovers from purchasing guns – since it will be argued that marijuana introduces a dangerous or ‘irrational and unpredictable’ element. Of course, they don’t ban alcoholics or prescription pill poppers from purchasing weapons, but I’m sure that many people would be interested in doing so if they could.
The rise of Obamacare has also institutionalized medical snitching on patients. Whereas their data and personal information were once held sacred, today they are precious fragments in the age of data analysis, and federal reporting. If/when mental health patients confess to certain trigger words (i.e. feeling angry, violent, suicidal, anti-government, depressed, etc), doctors will flag patients as potentially dangerous. Felons are barred from purchasing, and that category is likely to expand – in the name of Sandy Hook, the Pulse nightclub and whatever else they roll out on the table.
Doctors have been encouraged by executive order to ask patients about guns… and no doubt keep records on this special category of patients. Likewise, admitting to drug use (as one does by signing up for a medical marijuana list-database) will be used to flag patients as potentially unstable, dangerous and/or otherwise unfit for owning a gun….. lhwm notes: Well, now everyone knows the real reason for the double standard toward drugs.
Below are scriptures and definitions. This is part of the end times
In English we get the word pharmacutical, pharmacy, and
so on from the following Greek word. They are also called drugs.
The Greek word pharmakeia ( translated sorceries) See Revelation 18:23
The Greek word pharmakeus is a “druggist or poisoner” Greek translated sorceries and sorcerer. See Revelation 9:21, 21:8
Greek word (pharmakeus) has a root (pharmakon) meaning “a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion” See Revelation 22:15
(NaturalNews) In recent days, President Obama announced new “executive actions” on guns, that included language to shore up current federal law aimed at keeping mentally ill Americans from buying guns. Some skeptics of the president’s actions believe that, as is usually the case, there are ulterior motives behind his actions.
For example, some believe that the president’s order may include guidance on declaring people who disagree with Obama’s policies – like those regarding so-called “global warming” and “climate change” – as mentally unstable.
It’s not too far out of the realm of possibility, given this president’s narcissism, anti-gun demeanor and ideological, cult-like adherence to the concept of man-caused climate phenomena….. [read more]
Venezuelan police crushed and chopped up nearly 2,000 shotguns and pistols in a Caracas city square on Wednesday, as the new interior minister relaunched a long-stalled gun control campaign in one of the world’s most crime-ridden countries.
Interior Minister Nestor Reverol said the event marked the renewal of efforts to disarm Venezuelans, through a combination of seizures and a voluntary program to swap guns for electrical goods.
Venezuela has the world’s second highest murder rate and the street gangs that plague its poor neighborhoods have become increasingly heavily armed in recent years, at a time when a deep recession has reduced resources available to police.
Gangs often get weapons from the police, either by stealing them or buying them from corrupt officers, experts say…. [read more]
President Obama on Thursday justified his decision to commute the sentences of 53 people with gun charges this week by saying he worked hard to focus on people who didn’t seem to have a real history of gun violence, and may have only faced charges for carrying guns.
Obama has pushed to reduce federal sentences over the last few years, but at the same time, he has pushed several times for tougher gun control laws. But Obama said his commutation decision this week was consistent with both priorities….. [read more]
LHWM Notes: Just systematically tearing down America, can anyone see.
Who is taking down America? Who wants America to go down? Is America going down?
