Cornerstone Christian Academy in Alberta, Canada, is being told to stop teaching Scriptures that may be considered offensive.
Battle River School Division (BRSD) chair, Lauri Skori, told Cornerstone’s chair, Deanna Margel, that “any Scripture that could be considered offensive to particular individuals should not be read or studied in school.”
Skori said it would be inappropriate for the school to share “any teachings that denigrate or vilify someone’s sexual orientation.”
“We’re talking about freedom of religion, but we’re also talking about freedom of expression,” said Margel. “We need every single word there to challenge us, to call us to greater understanding. It’s just so important.”…. read more

TORONTO, June 1, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Ontario’s Kathleen Wynne Liberals have passed what critics describe as “totalitarian” Bill 89 by a vote of 63 to 23 on the last day before Queen’s Park adjourns for the summer.
Pro-family advocates warn Bill 89 gives the state more power to seize children from families that oppose the LGBTQI and gender ideology agenda, and allows government agencies to effectively ban couples who disagree with that agenda from fostering or adopting children.
Bill 89, or the Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act, 2017, repeals and replaces the former Child and Family Services Act that governs child protection services, and adoption and foster care services.
It adds “gender identity” and “gender expression” as factors to be considered “in the best interests of the child.”… read more
Christians pray for God to protect your home, your family and that the evil has no hold. Lord Jesus these children! Parents teach your children what God says. He says he loves them and will never forsake them. Don’t loose hope! If we do not teach our children in the ways of the Lord then someone else will gladly teach your children in the ways of evil. Satan HATES God! Do you see how much he HATES that this is occurring right now. We pray your not blind and know that this will come here.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

In the past few days I have written two articles on President Trump’s visit and speech in Saudi Arabia. There is now a firestorm of opposing views among Christians on how this president handled the subject of terrorism.
This morning a brother in Christ led me to an article from Canada.

Trump’s Riyadh farce exposed in Manchester
U.S. President Donald Trump has accomplished the impossible.
After correctly diagnosing the ailment that afflicts the Muslim world, he has prescribed the wrong medicine as the cure, thus ensuring the epidemic will thrive.
Speaking Sunday at a summit of over 50 Sunni Muslim-majority countries in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, Trump correctly called for “confronting the crisis of Islamic extremism and the Islamists and Islamic terror of all kinds.”… read more

CBC Montreal: The two men arrested following the deadly shooting at a Quebec City mosque Sunday night are Alexandre Bissonnette and Mohamed Khadir, Radio-Canada has learned.

Opinion by Prophecy Tracker: One of two gunmen shouted ‘Allahu Akbar!’ as they opened fire and is said to be of Moroccan origin.
The terror suspects were identified as Mohamed el Khadir and Alexandre Bissonnette, a court clerk told The Associated Press. The two men were arrested soon after the shooting at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night and were expected to appear in court later Monday, police told reporters.
How ironic and sad that the terror attack took place on the same day that Canada’s Prime Minister, Justine Trudeau, criticized Donald Trump’s ban on migrants from 7 Muslim nations that are known hot beds for terror.
Trudeau said: “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength (hash) Welcome To Canada.”
Alongside his general dislike for existing trade deals, Donald Trump singled out the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) for particular scorn, calling it “the worst trade deal maybe ever.” It looks like he not only plans to renegotiate NAFTA, but he also wants to make that one of his priorities, judging by this story in The Globe and Mail:
Billionaire investor Wilbur Ross, chosen by U.S. president-elect Donald Trump to reshape U.S. trade policy, has informed Canada that rules of origin and independent dispute tribunals will be central to talks aimed at resetting the North American free-trade agreement.
Canadian officials say the nominee for commerce secretary has indicated a formal-notification letter to open negotiations on NAFTA will be sent to Canada and Mexico within days of Friday’s presidential inauguration…. [read more]
The Islamic State published the names and addresses of thousands of churches in the United States and called on its adherents to attack them during the holiday season, according to a message posted late-night Wednesday in the group’s “Secrets of Jihadis” social media group.
A user going by the name of “Abu Marya al-Iraqi” posted an Arabic-language message calling “for bloody celebrations in the Christian New Year” and announced the group’s plans to utilize its network of lone wolf attackers to “turn the Christian New Year into a bloody horror movie.”
The series of messages appeared in a pro-ISIS group on Telegram, which also provides manuals for the use and preparations of weapons and explosives for aspiring assailants. The information, distributed in a number of posts, was all previously available online and includes a public directory of churches across all 50 states. (Vocativ does not publish specific information found in lists like these.)
In another group post, a member summoned “the sons of Islam” to target “churches, well-known hotels, crowded coffee shops, streets, markets and public places,” and shared a list of addresses in the United States, as well as in Canada, France and the Netherlands.
ISIS claimed responsibility for this week’s Christmas market attack in Berlin that killed 12 and injured 48. The group said that the assailant was a “soldier of the Islamic State,” who followed organizational orders “to target coalition countries.” The suspect was identified as Anis Amri, a Tunisian man in his 20s who reportedly had Salafi and jihadi connections in Tunisia and Germany. He is still the object of a massive manhunt in Germany.
The Islamic State has published such lists before — in June, Vocativ reported on a “kill list” that included more than 8,000 names and addresses, including that of police officers in the United States. The June list resulted in no known attacks… [full source]
