General Assembly passes anti-Israel resolution on actions in Gaza; Haley slams resolution, highlights shift in support for Israel at UN; PM praises Trump Administration and Nikki Haley for defending Israel at the UN.
Prime Minister Netanyahu again praised both the Trump Administration and US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley for defending Israel at the General Assembly on Wednesday.
Haley gave an address in defense of Israel, condemning the UN’s anti-Israel efforts after the General Assembly voted in a resolution claiming Israel has used excessive force against the Palestinians of Gaza. The resolution does not mention Hamas after efforts by the United States to include condemnation of Hamas in the resolution. Of the 193 members, 120 voted in favor, with 8 against and 45 abstentions… more
120 countries voted on Wednesday to pass a UN resolution which condemns Israel’s ‘extensive use of force’ against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The resolution includes a recommendation to UN chief Antonio Guterres to dispatch an “international protective mechanism” to Gaza.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in a letter that he “expresses thanks and appreciation to the members of the UN that voted for the resolution to provide international protection for the Palestinian nation.” In a statement today (Thursday), he said that the resolution was “a victory for Palestinian rights, justice and international law.”
The vote for the “Protection of the Palestinian civilian population” resolution, which took place in the General Assembly in New York City, was first proposed by Algeria, Turkey and the Palestinians. A similar proposal was vetoed by the US in the Security Council a few weeks ago… more
Isaiah 41:11-12 ESV 11 Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. 12 You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all.
The New American: The UN globalists have taken a first step toward making their international climate regulations enforceable by the UN.
The United Nations voted Thursday to take a first step toward creating a legally binding agreement on climate change. The body voted 143-5, with 7 abstentions, to have Secretary General Antonio Guterres produce a report by the next General Assembly session in September, which identifies gaps in international environmental laws and related legal instruments to enforce such laws.
The resolution also mandates the creation of a working group that will look at options for addressing the gaps in international environmental law by 2019, with an eye toward holding a conference to “adopt an international instrument.” In other words, unlike the Paris Accord, the UN is looking to create a worldwide environmental agreement with teeth. more …
Opinion: Of all the planks of the final government, from a cashless economy, to gun confiscation, to digital surveillance of every person, draconian climate laws have to be the most pernicious.
Under the guise of saving the planet, UN and EU globalists have dreamed up the next phase of climate laws called climate restoration …
… that is, approaches that seek to return atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases to preindustrial levels within one to two generations.
The target of globalists is to bring down the dominance of the United States as the lone superpower by redistributing its wealth and destroying its capitalist system of government. No one tried harder to achieve that goal than Barack Obama who was/is in lockstep with each UN initiative. I am still amazed he is not running the UN, yet.
The infrastructure of the final political platform is being constructed right in front of a church that is sleepwalking into the last days.
LHWM opinion: They can try all they want to save this earth but they have not met God. This earth belongs to God and no one has even come close to what God is going to do to this earth. Right now all this activity (volcanos, earthquakes, flooding, sinkholes etc.) is a precursor of what will happen during the tribulation. This earth will be destroyed and no man will ever change God’s plan.
More bad news for the United Nations.
U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley has confirmed that going forward, the U.S. will pay no more than 25 percent of its peacekeeping costs.
Associated Press reported she told a Security Council meeting this week, “Peacekeeping is a shared responsibility. All of us have a role to play, and all of us must step up.”
The international group assessed the United States 28.5 percent of the $7.3 billion spending this year.
But that broke the 25 percent limit established in U.S. law and Haley informed the government officials in the U.N. that’s the cap, starting with this year’s peacekeeping budget.
But still, the second largest contributor, China, is told to pay only a bit over 10 percent…. more

US State Department confirms it will withhold more than half of funds for 2018; US calls on other countries to “burden share”; PLO: Act is Trump Administration complicity with the Israeli occupation.
The United States confirmed it is withholding $65 million in aid to the United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) for 2018.
The US State Department confirmed it would withhold half of its designated $125 million for 2018, calling on other nations to contribute more to the organization.
Spokeswoman for the State Department, Heather Nauert, addressed the development during a press briefing on Tuesday, confirming “We committed a voluntary contribution of $60 million for 2018 so far. This will be divided into tranches. Sixty million is what we have indicated as the first available tranche.” She explained that the funds would be used “to sustain schools and health services to ensure that teachers and also health care providers can be paid their salaries,” as well as in order to assure programs would not be shut down given lack of funds…. more
It’s called PESCO. It stands for the Permanent Structured Co-Operation and is a treaty among EU nations providing a framework for mutual defense that many EU superstate proponents have been pushing for a long time.
Technically, it is not a European army, per se, but many consider it a necessary first step as it requires each country to strengthen its military assets and defense capabilities and cooperate if needed.
There are plans for enhanced joint training, streamlining of cross-border military operations, and medical operations. It establishes a defense fund for procurement of weapons and the development of “rapid reaction forces,” armed with tanks and drones.
The initial funding will include a 5 billion-euro ($5.83 billion dollar) defense fund. PESCO allows for integrated armed forces, a combined pool of Defense spending, and the creation of a joint command headquarters. European Union Foreign Affairs Chief Federica Mogherini said the pact will focus not just on military cooperation, but also on cyber-security…. more
A UNESCO funded project reproduced a statue of a lion, the third project of its kind the organization has supported, leading at least one rabbi to conclude that the real goal of the political organization is to promote an agenda that has always stood as Israel’s nemesis: idolatry.
The Lion of al-Lāt is an ancient statue, almost 11 feet tall and weighing 15 tons, which stood in the temple of pre-Islamic goddess al-Lāt in Palmyra, Syria. In June 2015 the statue was severely damaged, along with many other artifacts at the historic site, by the Islamic State (ISIS) after it captured Palmyra. The statue was eventually removed to the National Museum of Damascus where it underwent reconstruction… more
