Can Truth Set You Free?

Ephesians 1:1 HCSB Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will: To the faithful saints in Christ Jesus at Ephesus. 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

In this verse we immediately have presented to us that Paul’s apostolic calling was “by the will of God.

How Did His Apostolic Calling Come

Ephesians 1:4 HCSB For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. 5 In love He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, 6 to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.

Who are the us? The believers
When are believers chosen? Before the foundation of the world.

Paul’s apostolic calling came through his salvation which was determined before the “foundation of the world.

What does the word Chose mean?…..

It means every one who comes to saving faith in Jesus Christ was chosen by God before anything or anyone existed.

I as a believer did not make a “decision for Christ.” I did not come to Christ. I had nothing to do with my salvation. Salvation is a supernatural miracle of God’s grace…. read more

Second Seal – Take Peace From The Earth

The first rider is on the earth. He is given a crown because he will be the leader. He will have the outward appearances of a savior but he is the Antichrist. He is sent to conquer and obtain victory. He has a bow but no arrows. His strength will not be military, at this time, but will be in leadership and communication skills. He will appear to have good will toward the people. He will seem to be able to bring peace, hope, and prosperity, but it will all be superficial. He is hiding his true agenda… read more

“The Antichrist will confirm a treaty, producing a temporary peace which he will then abruptly shatter as he reveals his true colors (Daniel 9:27).” [1]

First horse – Antichrist
Second horse – Antichrist takes peace from the earth because God is allowing this to happen to show His Wrath.

Revelation 6:3 AMPC And when He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, Come! 4 And another horse came out, flaming red. And its rider was empowered to take the peace from the earth, so that men slaughtered one another; and he was given a huge sword. read more

Shake The Dust Off Your Feet

In Matthew 10:14-15, Mark 6:11, and Luke 9:5, 10:10-11 Jesus tells those He is sending out to “shake the dust off their feet.

In reading this I was like WHAT! I had not heard of this and it certainly didn’t line up with “everyone is saved”. Jesus is Truth and He is Godhead in flesh so He can not lie but what was He saying and does this apply to me.

Luke 9:1 NASB Summoning the Twelve, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and power to heal diseases. 2 Then He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Luke 10:1 NASB After this, the Lord appointed 70 others, and He sent them ahead of Him in pairs to every town and place where He Himself was about to go

Jesus sent the twelve apostles and seventy disciples out. For everyone who is a follower of Christ, He is talking to you. I had no idea what this truly meant so I studied it. I found that God was answering my prayer about those who hear the true gospel of the bible, say they want Jesus in their life, and yet reject what Jesus says. Jesus put this another way… more

Doctrine Teaching Lost in Translation

The teaching of sound doctrine is not popular today and hasn’t been for some years. 2 Timothy 4:1-4 warned us the time would come when sound doctrine would be rejected.

Rejecting Sound Doctrine
2 Timothy 4:2 NASB preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Sound doctrine is rejected because the heart does not desire God but desires to hear something new and up with the times. The heart does not want to hear anything that will scare them or make them feel bad. The heart wants only pleasant and feel good about myself scripture… learn more

Truth About Jesus – I AM The Bread Of Life Part 4

Bible – Written word of God | Jesus – Living word of God

In Exodus 3:13, Moses ask God, what name should I tell the people of Israel when they ask “Who sent you to us.” God says to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.

H.E. Gowan, Studies in the Sacred Name;
“Perhaps the vast possibilities implied can be more fully grasp if we give the verb – as is now done by most scholars – a future since: I WILL BE THAT I WILL BE.

Herbert Lockyer, All the Messianic Prophecies (pg 40)
“In our pre-existent, pre-eminent Lord, we have the promise of strength, counsel, protection, provision, guidance, and thousand other possessions.”

God Declared I AM & Jesus Declared

John 7:29 – AMP I know Him Myself because I am from Him [I came from His very presence] and it was He [personally] who sent Me.”

John 16:28 NASB I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

John 17:24 NASB Father, I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me because You loved Me before the world’s foundation.more

Overcoming Strongholds – Foundation Part 3

In stronghold part 1 we learned Believers have an enemy and are at war.

1. Satan, the devil, is the believers enemy
2. What the world offers is our enemy because it will cause us to be the enemy of God
3. Believers flesh is the enemy because it hates and is hostile to the Holy Spirit

In stronghold part 2 we looked at the nature of the believers battle and weapons.

Battle
1. Imagination/arguments/speculation
2. Lofty opinions against God’s truth

Weapon
1. God

Now that we know we are at war, have an enemy, and weapons to defeat the enemy. So why isn’t it working?

First we must accept God does not work, move, or answer prayer the way we expect. Through answered prayer salvation came but it was on the death bed. Maturity came but it was through extreme testing, trials, and suffering. Healing came but God’s thumb held me down until I could say with a clean and pure heart, not my will but Your will be done. The true stronghold is the lies we hold tight as truth.

Foundation Of Strongholds

In Numbers 13 is a big picture of what the foundation of strongholds looks like. God tells Moses to send a leader from each tribe of the Israelites. He wants them to go and spy out the land God has promised to give them (v1-16)…. read more

Truth About Jesus – The Great I AM Part 3

Exodus 3:13 ESV Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.'”

The Old Testament prophets, inspired by the Holy Spirit, told of a coming Messiah. Jesus the Messiah came and He described Himself in many ways including, I AM.

God called Moses to Egypt to set the Israelites free from being under the bondage of Pharaoh. Moses ask God, who do I tell the people sent me. God calls Himself, “I am who I am,…I AM has sent you.

God describes Himself, I AM That I AM…. read more

Overcoming Strongholds – How To Achieve This Part 2

…. The stronghold, what we believe as truth, is false or lies. Jesus Christ is the truth and we reason the real truth away based on our false truth because we give the lies more weight. The lies, which are of Satan and worldly knowledge and ways, form our thoughts and engage our emotions. Our reasoning believes the world offers places of safety. Our conclusion or decision is the knowledge we have will keep us from misery, suffering, and pain or we are not to suffer. In Christ, God’s word will actively seek to completely destroy our false truth.

So, the war is against two existing realities, one false but seen and one true but invisible. Unbelievers make every choice based on the influence of Satan, how they feel, and what they think with the worldly knowledge they have. So, the arguments or speculations are against God’s word being the only truth. When we push back against God’s word we hold the opinions and thoughts of ourself and the world higher than the true knowledge of God….. read more
