(Natural News) Rochester, Minnesota schools began sending notes to parents in January threatening to remove children from classrooms if they could not provide proof that they had received government mandated vaccines. While some are applauding this controversial strong-arming method, many are furious over this nanny state behavior and being told to comply or face the consequences.

Minnesota requires several vaccines for students to be found in compliance including:

  • Diptheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, DT)
  • Pollo (IPV, OPV)
  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B (hep B)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • Meningococcal (MCV, MPSV)

They also recommend but do not require, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Hepatitis A, and Influenza. Failure to receive even one of the necessary shots resulted in children being removed from class.
